The story
Built from the ground up — literally
Dominic Zammuto did not come to energy consulting through a classroom. He grew up on construction sites. His father is a builder, and from an early age Dominic was learning the trade the way it was meant to be learned — with his hands, watching how buildings actually go together.
After earning his Unrestricted Construction Supervisor License (CSL) and spending over 25 years managing construction projects across Massachusetts — including more than 250 new construction builds — Dominic recognized a gap in the industry. Builders needed a HERS rater who actually understood construction.
So he built Home Energy Efficiency Consultants from scratch — not as a consultant who happens to know a little about buildings, but as a construction professional who happens to be one of the most experienced certified HERS raters in Massachusetts.
